To create my double page spread I used a programme called InDesign. This is very different to photoshop and was a lot harder to use. There are a lot more technical processes that you can use on InDesign that you can't use on Photoshop, for example, text wrap, drops caps etc. Since my last stage of my double page spread I made some major adjustments to my article. I made the text look a lot more interesting in the article by changing the colour of the drops cap to white while keeping the rest of the text blue. This created a contrast between the article and also kept to my consistent house theme of white, black and blue.
I also added in some page numbers to help keep the magazine organised and to help the customer find their way around the magazine. Instead of just placing the number on the page I added in some blocks of colour to add more colour to the page. I used the font '28 days later' for my page number as I have used it throughout my magazine and it is suited to my genre.
To make my double page spread more interesting I added in some pull quotes which stand out of the page and give the main points of the article. This makes the article look at lot more interesting and is a common trend in general magazines. The pull quotes are generally quotes from the article that are most interesting or reveal a new secret which makes people want to read the whole article.
