This is my final version of my contents page.

When I looked at my contents page at this stage all that really stood out to me were the blank spaces on the right side. I decided the deal with this by re-adding the images of the female model and also adding a competition bubble. This filled in the spaces on my contents page and it was finally
completed.
I added these two features to the contents page to finish it off. I chose a different font for the Artist Index as I felt that the magazine needed a sans serif font to show that it is not a "serious" magazine. The artist index was an idea from the magazine NME and it helps readers find a particular artist/band that they are looking for in the magazine a lot quicker and easier. The list is also in alphabetical order making it more practical for the reader. The Regulars section of the contents page contains what is in the magazine every month. This is the months album chart which shows the best albums (voted by the public) of the month and also a "new on the scene" page which shows some artists that Live think are going to have a break through and produce music that they believe the reade
rs will enjoy.
I added this text around the main image on the contents page. This is the main article of the magazine so it needed more recognition than the other parts. I used the colour blue as this stood out most on a white background, I could have used black but then it may have looked too dark with his shirt aswell. I matched the font of his name with the font on the front cover, I like this font as it gives some elegance to the magazine and adds some feminity . I wrapped the text around the image to avoid a set of three plain columns.
I added in the contents of the magazine in the black column to the left of the magazine. The colours I used for the writing stick with the colour theme from the front page. These colours are grey and blue. I used a different font for one of the most important articles of the contents (page 3). This makes it stand out from the others to enhance it's importance.
This is the third stage of my contents development. I added in a black box with sections throughout it to seperate the contents into different parts within the magazine. I used the same font (Trajan Pro) for the sub-titles aswell. This gives my front page and contents page a consistant house theme. I deleted the images next to the contents page title as I was not sure if they were necessary on the page. I will re-add them if I feel they are needed.

For the title of the the contents page I used the same font as my front cover. However, I wanted to use a different colour otherwise the pages would look too similar. I went through a range of colours but the ones that looked the best were black and blue. I decided to use blue as I had already decided that the block shapes on my page were to be black and I wanted a diverse selection of colour on the pages.
